Problem with using dictionary in the Japanese books converted by Aozoraepub3
Hi guys.
I've converted the aozora-type text with the program called Aozoraepub3 to mobi. The text itself looks great on my Paperwhite, but when I long press some word to check it in the dictionary, it highlights the entire passage. This does not happen with some random Japanese book I've downloaded from kindle store(also vertically oriented), so it's not my kindle's fault. Any guess? |

In Japanese, unlike English, there is no space for each word. Therefore, you will need a dictionary of words. The Kindle has a server-side word separation process. When you make an EPUB in Japanese, it recognizes words by separating them with a span tag. Such a trick has been devised. EPUB creation software doesn't yet have much functionality.
