pdf ansicht
hi ich überlege mir ein cybook zu kaufen und will das vor allem mit pdfs nutzen die eigentlich mehr für dina4 ausgelegt sind, kann ich da zoomen? kann ich die pdfs bspw. drehen sodass ich dann bspw die obere hälfte des dina4 quer sehe oder so?

Es geht beides, zoomen und drehen. Aber je nach PDF wirst du wenig Spass haben, der Bildschirm ist einfach zu klein. Ich hatte auch gedacht, einige Scans lesen zu können -- aber das mache ich nur im Notfall, denn selbst der Scan einer Taschenbuch-Seite (Suhrkamp-Taschenbuch) ist schon zu groß. Hinzu kommt, dass sich der PDF-Reader nicht merkt, wo du aufgehört hast beim Lesen (im Gegensatz zum Mobi-Reader), dei Zoomstufen unflexibel isnd, er keine Lesezeichen setzt usf. Je nach Größe des Files ist die Sache auch sehr sehr zäh, bis hin zu Abstürzen (bei komplexen PDF).
Ich packe inzwischen alles, was geht ins Mobi-Format (Kovertierung entweder mit dem Mobi-Creator oder mit Calibre), notfalls nachdem ich den Scan mit einem OCR-Programm bearbeitet habe. Für Tabellen, Diagramme o.ä. ist das aber keine Lösung, klar. Für Din-A-4-Formate würde ich entweder auf ein Gerät von iRex sparen oder auf Plastic-Logic warten ... . |

wie genau kann ich den zoomen? welche möglichkeiten hab ich da?
muss noch 1 woche auf mein cybook warten und bin schon hibbelig will wissen in wei weit ich meine pdfs benutzen kann |

Zugegebenermaßen ist das nichts für sehschwache Leute, aber persönlich bin ich ganz zufrieden damit. Ach ja, ich lese, was A4-PDFs angeht, fast ausschließlich mit LaTeX erstellte Dokumente. Und, falls es Dich (oder sonst jemanden) interessiert, kann ich gelegentlich auch ein paar Bilder hochladen. |

natürlich hab ich mir gedanken gemacht, und hab auch rum gerechnet und mir beispiele gemacht aber die zoomfunktionen sind im inet nciht richtig beschrieben, außerdem hab ich das cybook so günstig bekommen dass ich es mit gewinn weiterverkaufen kann

Hi x300, hat Dich eigentlich schon jemand begrüßt? Falls nicht: erst mal herzlich willkommen. Ich hab auch ein Cybook, mit dem ich sehr glücklich bin; ich lese allerdings nie pdfs drauf, sodass ich zu Deiner Frage leider weiter nichts beitragen kann. Gib doch mal Bescheid, wenn das Cybook angekommen ist.

Hallo x300,
ich lese auf dem Cybook häufig Handbücher für Software etc., die ja oft nur noch als pdf verfügbar sind. der zoom ist über das Menü bei geöffnetem pdf einstellbar und läßt sich zwischen 50 u. 100 Prozent in 10er Schritten auswählen. Zusätzlich kann man die Seiten komplett darstellen oder auf Breite oder Höhe anpassen der Zoomwert wird dann in der Info-Leiste angegeben und kann auch Zwischenwerte betragen. Leider reicht das nicht um alle Dokumente optimal einzustellen. |
