I would be tempted to wire some of those "GPIO" lines on your adapter board to the PW3 "USB BOOT", "ON/OFF", and "RESET" switch pads. You know, "for science"...
EDIT: I thought that "JTAG" testpoint near the "SERIAL DEBUG" pins looked interesting, but it made me wonder where all the "other" JTAG pins must be hidden. But then I just now discovered this: Quote:

You're actually asking a rather complicated question. I hope this can get you started:
To start, (as I recall) you need to jailbreak your Kindle in order to access the command line. See: https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/5_x_Jailbreak for instructions. The most recent firmware update prevents you from applying a jailbreak. If you don't have the most recent firmware, you may be able to jailbreak your device by following the instructions on the wiki carefully. Check the pinned posts on this forum for more info. (And try to keep threads relevant. You replied to a 2 year old post about a completely different device, with a completely unrelated question, and this is liable to frustrate other forum members.,) Good luck! |

And top posting (putting the reply/answer before the question - like this) will not make you any friends here.

Apologies, I didn't know that was the etiquette. I was merely trying to point someone in the right direction so that you didn't have to. Just trying to be helpful.
