Free (Kindle/Kobo/iTunes) Ask Amy Green: Boy Trouble [YA Advice Column Humour Novel]
Ask Amy Green: Boy Trouble by Irish author Sarah Webb is the 1st novel in her Ask Amy Green of series of tween/YA humour novels centred around the wacky escapades surrounding a schoolgirl's advice column for a teen magazine, this installment setting up the titular advice columnist with said job in partnership with her aunt and encountering various ways in which her Gentle Readers can and can't make use of said advice, as well as the ways in which she may need advice herself, free courtesy of publisher Walker Books.
This is the featured Free Book of the Week in the iTunes UK store. Currently free, probably just through Monday @ Amazon UK, iTunes UK, Kobo (available to the UK, and seemed to be free in the EU/Oceania/South America/Japan when I spot-checked assorted regional stores (not for iTunes, though, where most places didn't seem to have this edition of the author's books)). Probably also free at Google Play for the eligible countries and price-drop-check linkage for Sainsbury, just in case (I don't think they got the last Walker freebie that was offered). Unlikely to cross the pond, since the rights for this series are held by Candlewick in North America. And this has been the (late!) selected 3rd (non-repeat) free ebook thread of the day. A little by default, but I actually really like fake advice column stuff, especially if the advice starts getting absurdist in response to increasingly zany situations. So bonus points, in addition to the ones already gotten for Walker being so kind as to offer us another Free Book of the Week and hopefully making a habit of it in the future. Enjoy! Description When Amy’s seventeen-year-old Aunt Clover lands a dream job giving advice for teen mag The Goss Amy quickly realizes that this is no ordinary column. Clover – being Clover – doesn’t just want to answer her readers’ letters, she wants to solve their problems … personally. From stamping out malicious rumours to handling first kisses and creating the perfect Bebo page, the pair bring happiness to many unhappy girls. But when Amy falls for the cute boy in her art class, she finds she’s in need of a little help of her own… Last edited by ATDrake; 04-17-2016 at 08:31 PM. |
