display time permanently
Hi
Would you know if it is possible to make the time be permanently displayed (or to show the status bar all the time) ? Thanks Nico |

That's one thing I still miss about my Sony 350, you could display the time in the bottom status bar where the page number is. Super convenient while you're killing time waiting before heading to an appointment instead of having to constantly keep bringing up the time display or checking your watch.

If you stick only to nickel, it can't be done. If you choose to use koreader and/or coolreader, it can be done. Personally I prefer KSM/koreader combination. But, it's for you to decide what you like more and if you want to use nickel at all. |

Even newer Sony readers than Sony 350 does not display time on book page.
To see time on my Kobo readers time takes one tap on page number at bottom of book page and another tap to return to book. Good enough for me. Really need title and author caption below unreadable book cover thumb nail on home page. Should be easy fix because library cover thumb nails have this. Even better have option to not show cover thumb nail on home screen leaving readable title and author as I have on library pages. Scrolling through Kobo library pages using slider displayes library page numbers to show location. This is better than nothing but should display location in alphabetical order to be really helpful. |

The time display might have been one of the many functions added by PRS+. It will only change the time display on a page turn so it doesn't consume much battery. So if you're sitting on one page for 10 minutes, it will still show the original time you landed on that page. Which is good enough for me while reading.
