Kindle indexing plug-in needed
Hi,
Kindles, especially the new Kindle Paper White, have a problem with indexing the text of each book. If you buy a Kindle and add a couple of books, the Kindle will index every word in every book within a reasonable length of time. If you add a hundred or two hundred books it may take weeks or forever for the Kindle to index every work in every book. Forever means that a single book might not index correctly and attempt to re-index forever. There is no way to know if the indexing is stuck or what progress it is making. A good solution would be to index books like Kindle does on a desktop computer and export the indexes to the Kindle. I would like to be able to download books and full Kindle indexes to my Kindle via Calibre. By the way, if you search around and see a solution that suggest typing in nonsense text like xxxzzyyyx in the search window to find out how many books have been indexes. That no longer works. Max |
