Save File Path
When a new file is loaded to Calibre and SAVE TO DISK is selected the Path displayed is always to the previous file processed rather than the present file.

That is the standard Windows Hint method.
Calibre has no way to know, in advance, where you might want to put a STD file. It is your job to set the path, Windows just gives a last used starting point (which usually work for most people doing repeated saves). |

If I send to epp the path to the loaded file is present for save. If I send to Acrobat, the path to the loaded file is present for save. If I send to Elements, the path to the loaded file is present for save. etc. etc. Seems to be the standard. |

Ah! But in those cases, you are usually saving an variation of the original in the originals location.
Calibres STD is for EXPORTING to any place EXCEPT the original location. I prefer the current behavior for Exports. Remember when many Windows programs defaulted to the Programs folder for saving personal documents? |
