Greetings from the San Joaquin Valley CA (USA)
Hello!
I've been so grateful to find this forum. I came into a little cash over the holidays and decided to get myself an e-reader. Reading the comments here really helped me make up my mind. I'm awaiting delivery of my Sony PRS-T1 and I've already found so many helpful posts in the Sony forum. Thank you all for taking the time to help the newbies. I hope to become pretty savvy with the new device, but other than my laptop, this is my first electronics purchase in several years, so making up my mind was somewhat difficult, and I anticipate having a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to use it to its full potential. So I'll definitely be sticking around, and I'm grateful to those who make this forum available. Hello to my fellow Californians and greetings to everyone throughout the world! It's nice that a love of words and technology can bring us all together. Nancy |

Hi Nancy and welcome to MobileRead. I've had a T1 for several months now and really like it. Prior to that I had a Sony 505 for over three years and was very pleased with that as well. Only problem with the T1 is that it has WiFi. I keep that switched off because I'm afraid if I have a few drinks at night I'll start buying books!
Be sure and check out our Sony section where our many Sony addicts, er, I mean enthusiasts will be very happy to answer any questions. |

@Valmore Daniels thanks! It's great to see authors on here, as I aspire to be one myself.
@Cassidym I'm glad to hear that you're happy with your reader. I, too, have to watch myself with buying books, especially when some of them are so reasonably priced. It's good to know that your 505 held up so well. I'm hopeful that the new devices will be built to last as well. I'd much rather update because I want to than out of necessity. |
