Our mystery novel The Empanada Affair
The Empanada Affair just joined the select highest 8% of total Kindle book sales on Amazon, according to the cute little graph Amazon supplies its authors.
A Los Angeles-based PI and his client find themselves solving a murder in Salta in Northwest Argentina. There's plenty of action, a fascinating setting, local foods and wine, and even a few romantic interludes. Thanks to all of you who've checked out our book, and a special thanks to all of you who purchased it. There's a lot to enjoy in this novel for the $0.99 price; please enjoy it. |

So if we don't have a Kindle, you don't care about us? Well done.
Please don't buy this. The author cares little to nothing about potential customers. |

JS Wolf: Relax, take a deep breath, and...
Dear Mr./Ms. Wolf: On the same page as the book, one can download a free Kindle reader Application for their computer that solves this problem. Note the word FREE in this sentence. I use the application and have been very happy with it; I don't own a Kindle reader either.
"So if we don't have a Kindle, you don't care about us? Well done." I do care, and the solution is right out there for you and everybody else. "Please don't buy this. The author cares little to nothing about potential customers." Please do buy this and simultaneously download the Kindle Application. Say a small thank you to Amazon for their generosity (or their business plan, as the mood strikes you). If it simplifies things for you, the book is also available from Smashwords. |

We do not want to read it on our desktops. We bought e-readers to read ebooks.

Dear Gronk: I hear you. That's why I also uploaded the book to Smashwords. It's finally been accepted for their premium catalog, but this was a long, slow iterative process. It will be available for your e-reader as it finds its way to the booksellers who service your modality. Unfortunately, Smashwords has a backlog issue with some of the booksellers. The Empanada Affair has been shipped to, and should be available from, Barnes and Noble, Apple, Diesel, and Scrollmotion. Still waiting for the book's shipment are Sony and Kobo. The book may take a few weeks to appear in your favorite supplier's catalog in a form suitable for your reader, but put it in your queue to read and it will be there soon. Thank you for your interest and for getting me a skosh more Karma. I hope you and the others who read this reply enjoy the book.

The Empanada Affair is still available as a Kindle book on Amazon for $0.99, and is now available as well from iBooks, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords in multiple formats.
“Empanada” is a Mystery, an Action/Adventure, and a Travel book all rolled into one. A Los Angeles-based PI and his client solve a murder in Salta in Northwest Argentina. There's plenty of action, an exotic setting, local foods and wine for the foodies out there, and some romantic interludes if that’s what you look for in a book. Thanks to all of you who've checked out our book, and a special thanks to all of you who’ve purchased it. There's a lot to enjoy in this novel for its $0.99 price; enjoy it. The next book in this series entitled The Ambivalent Corpse, with our heroes now in Montevideo, Uruguay, is going through editing and critiques by colleagues. It should be available commercially in a few months. Anyone who wants to read and review a copy before then should get in touch with me. |
