Intro
Came to this site to find info and books for my Pandigital Black Novel. The Novel is a great Android bookreader with a fair web brouser. Since it has a resistive touch screen it takes a bit to get the touch (pun intended) to be able to scroll and change pages. A very light touch with a quick smooth stroke does best. Scrolling the brouser and in the library can be a challenge until you learn the best swipe spots without actually activating something. It would have been nice if they had wider scroll bars in some of the apps and (or) arrows to aid the poor swiper. Other than those small issues, its a great reader..
My fave books are collections of the Saint, Star Trek, Star Wars, historical books.......oh heck, just about anything. Found a lot of good ol' books at the Gutenburg site. |

I had a white Pandigital Novel for a few months before it got stollen and I did not like it one bit. It was slow and slipped up cosntantly, I had to keep a paper clip with me at all times to keep reseting the device, which I probably had to do once an hour. Now I have the Aluratek Libra Pro which slips up probably once a month, not a real problem and I like it much better than the Pandigital Novel.

The black is a vast improvement over the white pandigital, unless you want to hack the operating system and make your own pad. Never had a problem with this one and with the firmware updates its gotten more reliable. The things I can live with are: slow booting and not being able to read a book from the simcard. Oh, and yes the resistive screen can be mildly annoying until you get the touch. Plays movies fairly well though I love my ZuneHD for that. My wife has her own Pandigital Black as well.
