For those who are interested, Stefan Brands' book "Rethinking Public Key Infrastructures and Digital Certificates", which was previously only available in hardcopy, is now available as PDF for free download.

Their definition of "free" does not seem to agree with my definition of free. Its very non-free, even if you can download it without cost.

Note he said "free download", not "free e-book". You don't have to pay in order to download it, thus the download itself is free.

Though I admit I would be happier if the book itself was "free" thus allowing us to convert it to any format (e.g. Plucker) and re-distribute it.
