Broke keyboard ZIF latch
Oops
While sliding my Sony Reader PRS-505 back inside its case I broke off the cover of the keyboard ZIF connector. The plastic ZIF cover has fallen off and is completely broken. If I push the ZIF cable into the socket myself the keyboard does work, so there is nothing wrong with the cable or the socket. It just needs some way to apply the compression normally provided by the cover. Does anyone have any experience in solving this problem? Many thanks |

No experience, but maybe try a drop of glue?

Hi.
I had the same problem, one of the pins holding the plastic ZIF connector broke of and I had to glue it back on using super glue. It works fine now. Gr William |
