Can access on network machine with mobile, but not other

So I am running calibre-server on Linux and can access the content via 192.168.1.1:18080/mobile (example URL), but cannot access without the mobile at the end. Tried in chrome and firefox and am running current versions with JavaScript enabled.

What I get is this:

Name:	CalCapture.PNG
Views:	212
Size:	7.0 KB
ID:	168556

Chrome Devtools gives this:

Name:	CalCapture3.PNG
Views:	209
Size:	21.4 KB
ID:	168557

Any ideas on what may be going on and how to fix here?

Maybe a dumb suggestion: Shouldn't 192.168.1.1:18080 be
192.168.1.1:8080 ?

The default port is 8080 in Calibre.

The default port is 8080 in Calibre.
if it works with the /mobile, he is not using the default port (I sure don't. many other apps also default to 8080 )

Looks like both Chrome and Firefox have restricted AppCache to secure sites only on newer versions (Chrome 70 and Firefox 62). Dunno how to fix short of getting a SSL certificate.

Maybe try using an older release or FirefoxESR or something?

Update calibre, newer version dont fail when appcache is disabled. Or enable SSL

Correct as to what others said, I do not like to run it on default port cause it can conflict with other apps.

Thanks for the thought though.
