The Beasts of Hades by Graham Diamond (ISFDB, Wikipedia) is the 4th novel in his Adventures of the Empire Princess quartet of vintage throne-reclaiming epic high fantasy quest adventures, this installment the one where the series-titular heroine finally reclaims her throne, with the help of her rather Disney sidekick-sounding animal friends who accompany her on a descent into the underworld realm of the enemy, free courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press's Venture imprint, who are e-printing it from its 1981 paperback originally out from Playboy Press, which was apparently reviewed by Theodore Sturgeon, according to ISFDB.
