Collapsible TOC in pdf files

Hallo,

I am a new user of DR1000s, have tried (and returned) the KindleDX und the Onyx 90. The Kindle had the best display but awfull UI, the Onyx had a good reader but the controls on the device were a joke.
My last hope is/was the Irex. It has a major flaw though: the TOC is expanded by default, with big books it spans over 20 pages. Is there a way to "collapse" the TOC?

Regards,
Dimitris

Not that I know of, but the iRex platform is mostly open source, so you can install alternate viewers or even modify the system yourself. Have a look at this article about software for the DR in our wiki.

Cheers,

Afaik there is no way to collapse the ToC in IREX pdf viewer.

I'm (slowly) working on an alternative experimental pdf viewer [1] that it does have that feature.
Note there are tons of missing features (zoom, annotations...) and it's slower that default pdf reader.

Maybe some day I could finish it.

@MrWarper
Thanks, tried them all: Xournal, techPDF and Iņigo's viewer.

@Iņigo
Your viewer beautifully collapses the TOC, very nice. I have noticed though that the "blackness" of the text and figures is less than in the other two viewers, and some ghosting as well. Anyway, as it is a project under development, you are my only hope for getting the "dream pdf-viewer"!
