.DJVU files
Good day,
I read that my PocketBook 902 should display ".djvu" format. Unfortunately, when I copy a file with the extension ".djvu" in my device, I cannot see the file in the list of the files. How can I display a .djvu file without making a convertion ? |

Hello,
There is no need for conversion. At least my 902 handles djvu quite well. Maybe you will need to update your firmware. The following is the file displays its supporting format 'extensions.cfg' (of beta firmware 2.1.0): hrss:@HTML_file:1:bookland.app:ICON_HTM pdf:@PDF_file:1:AdobeViewer.app,pdfviewer.app:ICON _PDF epub:@EPUB_file:1:AdobeViewer.app,fbreader.app:ICO N_EPUB acsm:@ACSM_file:1:AdobeViewer.app:ICON_ACSM txt:@Text_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_TXT fb2:@FB2_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_FB2 htm:@HTML_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_HTM html:@HTML_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_HTM php:@HTML_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_HTM cgi:@HTML_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_HTM asp:@HTML_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_HTM jsp:@HTML_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_HTM pl:@HTML_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_HTM chm:@Z_HTML_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_CHM rtf:@RTF_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_RTF doc:@DOC_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_DOC docx:@DOC_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_DOC docm:@DOC_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_DOC prc:@PRC_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_PRC pdb:@PRC_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_PRC mobi:@PRC_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_PRC tcr:@TCR_file:1:fbreader.app:ICON_TXT wlnk:@weblink:5:fbreader.app:ICON_WWW djvu:@DJVU_file:1:djviewer.app:ICON_DJVU djv:@DJVU_file:1:djviewer.app:ICON_DJVU jpg:@JPEG_image:2:jpegviewer.app:ICON_JPG jpeg:@JPEG_image:2:jpegviewer.app:ICON_JPG png:@PNG_image:2:jpegviewer.app:ICON_PNG bmp:@BMP_image:2:jpegviewer.app:ICON_BMP tif:@TIFF_image:2:jpegviewer.app:ICON_TIFF tiff:@TIFF_image:2:jpegviewer.app:ICON_TIFF mp3:@Music_file:3: play.app:ICON_MP3 app:@APP_file:4:start.app:ICON_APP pbi:@APP_file:4:sysinstall.app:ICON_APP |

I won't update no more because I don't want to buy dictionnaries that I thought I already have bought (because they were included in my package). |

Well, I do not know much about the dictionary thing. If you want to enable this function without updating the firmware, then ... I do not know.
But I guess you might not loss your dictionaries when updating because all my files remain after updating. BTW, do you need to pay for dictionary at all? |

(I haven't read that ".djvu" implementation was an upgrade) Quote:
PocketBook support responded something like "the dictionnaries were trials, so the upgrade remove them" whereas it was written anywhere that the dictionnaries included were trials... So, I stick to my 2.0.4 version and keep my "english --> french" "english --> english definition" and "russian --> french" dictionaries ! |

Oh, I see where the problem is. I am not sure but if the app file alone can work then you might be able open .djvu files after 3 steps:
1.download an app from this forum called 'get-root' 2.use the app to download another app 'djviewer.app' 3.add a line to 'extensions.cfg' so that the system recognize this format. This certainly will do no harm to your device, but I am not sure whether it will work. Maybe an expert in linux can help you. |

I'm still using the old 2.0.4 firmware (pre-dictionary license removal), and I can open and read DJVU files without any extra effort. djviewer.app came with the system.

This is odd (not that you can open DJVU, but that I can't).
I will try with files which names are not in cyrillic. |
