Sigil 1.8.0 and MathMl
Am running Sigil 1.8.0 on Windows 10 Home Version 21H1 Build 19043.1288.
I have an Epub3 document with fairly extensive MathMl-code. Sigil doesn't seem to be rendering the equations properly anymore. It used to (1.7.0). Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11 renders the equations without any problem. Did I miss something? This is the first problem with Sigil 1.8.0 that I've encountered, since I installed it recently. Thx for any info. |

Could have disabled javascript in your Sigil Preferences. Displaying mathml requies MathJax which is a javascript based library.
Try enabling javasrcipt in Sigil Preferences->General Settings->Security (tab). |

There were no changes I can think of from 1.7 to 1.8 that would affect any kind of Preview rendering.

I did notice some changes to settings upgrading from 1.7 to 1.8 --- namely I had to go and re-assign "open with" when right-clicking on an image file. I didn't consciously do anything different when installing 1.8, so there may be something in the installer process that changes the defaults???

Nothing that I know of. All my normal settings were retained on all my test machines. Both real and virtual.
EDIT: actually, the Windows installer itself doesn't create/edit/move/delete any of Sigil's user preferences. All of the .ini files (where the settings are stored) are created by Sigil.exe when first run. The defaults (and any subsequent modifications) are handled by Sigil itself. Glad to hear it! I did that myself a few times. No worries.
