Windows on ARM...this could be big
There was an announcement about porting windows to an ARM processor - non-Intel in other words. (seems I remember them trying this once in the past with another processor ... motorola or ?). They may be shooting at/for the mobile market in a new way.

The Windows CE operating system already runs on ARM processors, and has done for many years. It's the standard CPU used for embedded CE systems. I'm really not sure what this story is all about.

I think it is about the full Windows system not the CE version. Probably just hype.

Windows NT does of course run on a variety of different RISC platforms, including DEC Alpha, MIPS, and PowerPC.
