Conversion to Mobi - How to Prevent Formatting marks in Comments
Hi:
In the last couple of releases when converting books to mobi, I now have the formatting marks showing up and I have to individually remove these marks, how do you change the settings where this no longer occurs?? Nyn |

This is an example of what I will get:
Code:
<p class="description">SUMMARY:Janette Oke has dreamed for years of retelling a story in a biblical time frame from a female protagonist's perspective, and Davis Bunn is elated to be working with her again on this sweeping saga of the dramatic events surrounding the birth of Christianity...</p> Code:

Ah you mean you see this in the comments field of the conversion dialog? You can ignore it, it is the markup that specifies how the comments are formatted. You will not see it anywhere else in calibre, or in your books.

Not sure what the question you are asking is here?
What Kovid is saying is that Calibre displays the Comments fields within Calibre to show any embedded HTML formatting tags. This data is part of the Comments field. When displayed on a reading device these will be used for formatting purposes and not displayed. |

Thanks to you both for the help, as long as the info will not be displayed I will begin to ignore it when converting books.
