iPad How to deregister / reset device prior to return to store

I plan to return an ipad mini to bestbuy for a refund. I've only had it for a few days and only registered it with an apple-id and installed maybe three or four apps. Should I simply uninstall the apps and de-register it, or should I reset it to stock before I return it? Thanks.

May I know why you returned the Mini? Is that the 1st gen Mini or the retina display Mini?

If you've got the "Find my iPhone" service turned on, they'll make you turn it off before you turn it in.

Hubby never even realized he'd turned it on, but there it was. He was lucky to remember his password so he could do it in the store.
