add series information when emailing book

Is it possible to add series information when emailing a book?

I have tried using:

{title:| |: }{series}{series_index:>2s}

in the metadata plugboards in various combinations. I have this working when I transfer books to itunes, but I was hoping to add the titles to books in Stanza if I email them.

No, templates are not used when emailling

Thank you for such a quick response. Would this be an appropriate feature request? Or would the implementation not be worth the effort?

Feel free to open a feature request, I'm not personally interested in it, but perhaps one of the other calibre developers will be.
