Font Hack not possible on my Kindle International 2.5.3 (490488060)

I installed the update from the Amazon webpage on my k2i and I am not able to install any custom fonts. I need unicode for cyrillic so I really have a problem now.

Is it right that amazon has fixed the tarbomb vulnerability to prevent any hacks.

What can i do? Is it possible to go back to an earlier firmware somehow?

With 2.5.x you have to use a different way to install unicode fonts as you're used to. I just tried NiJuLe's method (it's here in the Developer's Corner as well!!!) and it works fine on my 2i:

The revised update works fine once the kindle has been restarted.

Thanks alot, dudes. The hack now works for me and I have my beloved Georgia font back. Can't believe, that amazon still does not offer unicode fonts on the reader with not modified firmware.
