How's your K1 holding up?
Mine is still functional but the scroll wheel is starting to act up. It's like it has no traction and I have to scroll and scroll to get it to move just a little bit.
Everything else seems to be good. |

Mine's in like new condition, though I'll probably be getting another battery soon. 15 months old, used almost daily. Rugged as a tank (I've got a decalskin on it, when that comes off it will look like new).

ours is still fully functional, on a 2nd battery. After Christmas though it may get some rest as the Mrs is getting a K3 from Santy Claus

Still functioning well. One line of pixels went out last week. Shows up in graphics, never in words.
Bought refurbished 1.5 years ago. |

One of the buttons isn't as reliable. I have a cat who I think resents it and is prone to chewing on the buttons.

Mine is good. I removed a ton of books last night and put books on for the Hubby. He asked me to include books I think he would like. Given that the last time I saw him reading a book was in January, this is kind of a challenge.
Tavi felt sluggish but I am used to the DXG now and I think that is why the K1 feels to be slower. My scroll wheel works fine, Using it made me a bit misty eyed. (grins) |

Mine is working fine.......I guess. Put it back into its 'book box' and haven't looked at it since I got the K3.

We have 2, both still in excellent condition. I did recently change the battery in mine (almost 2 and a half years old now). All buttons, and the scroll wheel are fine.

For me: K1 = long term DRM'd storage and back-up reader K2 = hack experiments and back-up reader K3 = main reader Still looking for a large screen reader though. |

My K1 has a small hairline crack on a portion of the keyboard (no idea how it happened), but it still works absolutely fine.

my original K1 is my back-up reader and home for the smartcard. it spent the summer with a pre-teen and survived! my second K1 has been given to a dear friend and is now a permanent and functional resident of New Mexico

My K1 is still doing great. I gave it to my younger brother so we could share books.
