Anthony Abbott was the pen name of Fulton Oursler, who wrote under both names.

The full name of the book is "About the Murder of Geraldine Foster". First of some eight or nine traditional detective stories, with the curious feature that the detective, Thatcher Colt, is the Commissioner of Police for New York, and does all the investigation himself.
