ePub and Mobi app for Android
Is there any eReader app for Android that handles both formats? And what app has the best subsets of annotations? Something that can be exported to one of the Office apps.

Cool Reader allow you to read both ePub and Mobi. But only without DRM.
I suspect that there are some licensing rules that prohibit the creation of a reader that can handle DRM ePubs and DRM Mobi. But I don't actually know. ... and FBReader. Last edited by Adoby; 08-26-2012 at 04:01 AM. |

Well you could always look at the sticky in this forum to find one. I think you will find the title self-explanatory.

So, FBReader is the only app that supports both epub and mobi. CoolReader looks good but it doesn't support mobi, too bad.

I just tested Cool Reader, and it seems to work fine with Mobi, as far as I noticed.

On my 5" Samsung, I keep loaded:
Kindle Cool Reader fbreader Moon+ Mantano In roughly that order of precedence. Cool Reader is nicer to read on than fbreader, but for multiformat work, fbreader is better. Moon+ and Mantano are nice, but I don't use them that much. Regards, Jack Tingle |

I took down CoolReader, it is very customizable, but the enter screen is a tad rustic. I think Aldiko with its bookshelves looks the best before you start reading. It will probably take a while before CoolReader is configured the way I'd like it to be.

FBreader and CoolReader are my two staples. The former for the multiple formats and its pleasing minimalism, the latter for its good looks. Both handle mobi perfectly well in my experience, although FBreader says the implementation is experimental or something.
