Summertime is meet-up time in ebook-land ! And we're excited to announce that there will be a meet-up in Phoenix, Arizona in a mere two weeks ! This meet-up is organised by F1Wild in conjunction with members of the Kindle boards and you can find all the info in this thread.

If you're in the area, take your mind off the heat by spending the afternoon with some e-book enthusiasts for some cool conversation about books and gadgets. Special guests will include two authors publishing kindle books : Thomas Greanias and Timothy Hallinan.

hi rjfarrell ! i think this meetup will mainly be attended by kindle users, but perhaps it's open to *all* ebook enthusiasts, although a sony worshipper might be in the minority. please do contact F1Wild about the meetup to find out more details. take a look at this thread.

Well, unfortunately due to some health setbacks here, I will not be able to attend, but I certainly hope there will be lots of pics posted.

As for the "lowly sony owner" attending? I think that would be a marvelous opportunity for others to see that device and how it works, if they don't have access to one. And, it would be a great opportunity for the Sony owner to see and try the Kindle.

I cannot imagine excluding anyone from an ebook reader get-together, regardless of what device they have.
