Aura HD Reset pin-hole broken. Any other way to reset the device?

The reset pin-hole is broken in my Aura HD. Is there any other way to perform a reset? Will holding the power button for ten seconds do the same thing?

Holding the power button in the off position for 10 seconds should force the device off. Then you should be able to turn it on.

How did you break it?

You don't want to use needles for it (sharp point, damages things). Paper clips work well.

I had one case where the device was so far gone, even the reset button would not work, I had to disconnect/reconnect the battery. Maybe you have a similar case and the reset button will actually work again afterwards.

@davidfor. Thanks.

I bought the device like this. The reset socket is physically not there (you poke a clip in and there's nothing there) and the light doesn't work. I tried taking it out of the case to see if I could fix it, but the rest-pin is under the mother board so I decided to leave it. The device suffered some trauma before I bought it. Otherwise the device is functional.
