[Q] How can I check for new releases in a series in calibre or goodreads?

What I have been doing is to check each series manually and its a pain and sometimes I forget to check them and I would find out about the new book in the series almost half a year later.

Is there a way to automatically check for updates to a series? Or perhaps some software that checks for it?

Not kobo-specific, but the way I do it is to get the Goodreads monthly newsletter which gives you a list of upcoming books by authors on your shelves.
