Boox Note pro factory resetting itself with every power off

Hi,

My Boox note pro, which is on Android 9 (Version: 2021-05-20-53_3.1_f1d2ad8) has started factory resetting itself with every poweroff. I reached out to Boox support and they shared this link https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...4wOdMiIPs/edit on how to downgrade to Android 6. The problem is I have not used adb before and I am clueless on how to get it installed in Note pro. If anyone can help me, I would be grateful for the help.

Well, that's all weird. Are they acknowledging that their Android 9 is a failure? Why are they saying "adb reboot loader"? Is that a typo for bootloader?

Enabling ADB should be the same as normal. That is, if you have the normal Android Settings. Just Google "minimal ADB".

Although Android 9 for Note pro brought in some improvements (battery life was the biggest one for me), it was not bug-free.
I am sure this is mainly because of the language barrier, but their instructions have not been helpful or clear to me. There is a thread in here about the issues people faced while upgrading to Android 9 and you can see complaints about the instructions there as well. The CS has responded to my email asking for a video so that they can help further. I might end up doing that.
