New here and help needed

Hi,

Glad I found this fantastic forum as I have learned a lot thus far ! Thanks.

What ereader would you recommend in case the following is needed:
- mainly pdf files incl large examples;
- search feature
- pdf zoom
- annotation
- subfolderstructure
- fast (...)

I have an iRex DR800 which is an excellent device but has its limitations even after the firmware upgrade that will follow in near future.

Looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,
Mark

For pdf files (even larger one) i would always choose a PocketBookdevice. It has a nice PDF-Reflow function, which works, depending on the formattin of the pdf-file, pretty well.

You have subfolderstructure on it, like any filesystem, because there is a linux system running on it.

You have search funtion in pdf-files and all other ebooks.

Its pretty fast in booting and switching pages.

If you need a screenshot of an pdf file of your choise, pn me that file

Thx, Ulli

Sounds good. I am not familiar with these devices but just had a quick look on their site. You have the 360 right ? I guess positive experiences ? Is the Boox also from them ?

Best,
Mark

But the Pocketbook 360 doesn't support annotation.

Might be worth waiting few weeks and taking a look at the forthcoming Pocketbook 302 or BeBook Neo. Both of these devices have Wacom touch screens (the same as the DR800), and do support annotation.
