WHERE to buy an ebook reader?

Hi

I am really interested in an ebook device for reading my pdfs/etc... so I looked at
this https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/E-book_Reader_Matrix site and found
some interesting devices. However WHERE can I buy those?
With the exception of the Sony Reader (which is at least available in the united states (i'm coming from austria/europe by the way)) and the iLiad
which can be ordered from their website (but why is it that
expensive in europe when the company is based there?) I can not find any
credible sources (including ebay) to order any of the other readers.

Another thing which troubles me is that the boot up time except for the sony
reader is > 15s. Doesn't eInk uses no power or at least very little when no
screen operations are underway?

thx
