Multicomputer Sync users - Do you sync the Config directory?
Most information about the Library is stored in the Library. Some information about the Library is stored in the Configuration directory - especially information about user-defined fields.
I use multiple libraries, and always use a separate configuration directory for each library. I'm wondering what those who use sync programs (e.g. DropBox) do about the differences on 2 computers that are stored in the configuration directory. Do you sync that directory, too, or just the Library? If you don't sync the config directory, do you have to be careful when changing user defined fields on one computer, but not the others? |
