Image problem

A very wierd problem.
Converting a book from pdf, first used mobipocket creator to get html and then loading the html into Sigil. Then saving as epub.
All went well and the epub works fine on my sony 505 except for one photo which doesnt appear:
The photo appears in Sigil, it appears in Calibres viewer, it appears in Stanza on my ipod, but not in ADE or on the Sony reader.

I tried:
Deleting the picture in Sigil and inserting a different image at the same place - works fine everywhere.
Deleted the image and then re-inserted - not seen in ADE.
Converted the picture from png to jpg and inserted - now it works fine
.
The image is a black and white png, 600x546 pixels, 44.6kb, 24 bit depth.
This is probably not a Sigil problem but some quirk of the ADE's treatment of pngs.
Any ideas just in case it happens again?

Yes, it sounds like an ADE problem. Could be that the JPEG is somehow screwed up and Sigil (and Calibre) handle it better than ADE. Who knows.

I can't give you any advice for future problems with ADE. It's a buggy piece of software, and sadly we have to live with it.
