A lot of people also like Christopher Moore's The Stupidest Angel: A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror.

How about Holidays on Ice by the American humourist and raconteur, David Sedaris. It's described as "an anthology of humorous Christmas tales and essays". For example, story one is called SantaLand Diaries and is about his experiences working as a Christmas elf in Macy's SantaLand.
I'm British and don't always "get" American humour but I find David Sedaris very funny. He appears on BBC Radio quite often. Last edited by jackie_w; 12-05-2017 at 11:12 AM. |

I second The Stupidest Angel.
Also Connie Willis' collection of Christmas stories has been updated to include the award-winning All Seated On the Ground and is now called A Lot Like Christmas . Also The Big Book of Christmas Mysteries edited by Otto Penzler, Wishin' and Hopin' by Wally Lamb, Hogfather by Terry Pratchett, and Wildside Press has a couple of Christmas Megapacks, |

The Stupidest Angel is book three in Moore's Pine Cove trilogy. Practical Demonkeeping and The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove are one and two.
There is also Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore. I also recommend Seth Grahame-Smith's Unholy Night. Quote:

Also the angel is from Lamb and another character is from Island of the Sequined Love Nun but the book is fine to read on it's own. It was the first Christopher Moore that I read.
