Libra 2 Dropbox on Kobo Libra 2

I just managed to synch my Kobo Libra 2 with Dropbox.
It's quite simple if you have NickelMenu installed.
I added the line menu_item:main:dropbox:nickel_open:library:dropbox to my config file on NickelMenu.
And now when I click the Dropbox button on NickelMenu I am able to synch it just like in the other native supported Kobos (see here: https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/artic...a-with-Dropbox).
The Dropbox account still doesn't appear on the "Settings/Accounts" menu after that, but it works just fine; just like it would on Sage, Forma and Elipsa, i guess.
Sorry if this was a known tweak; I just wanted to share it since i couldn't find any related topic.

hey, pinkykitten. what exactly didn't work for you?
if you have NickelMenu installed, you just have to add the following line menu_item:main:dropbox:nickel_open:library:dropbox to the configuration file at KOBOeReader/.adds/nm/config (instructions here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=329525).
this will create a Dropbox button on NickelMenu's main menu. Clicking on it you will reach the configuration page for Dropbox synching. just like this one: https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/artic...ing-a-computer
after configuration and synchronization the same button will lead to the books you have uploaded to your Kobo folder on Dropbox.

I am not sure, as Libra 2 is the only Kobo device I have, but i think it might work for Libra H2O, Nia, Clara HD, and other Kobo devices that don't have official native Dropbox support.

Hi, I tried this on a Clara and it wasn't working initially.
So I looked at the logs and saw something complaining about URL empty.
I remembered there seeing a setting in the Kobo Ereader.conf file regarding dropbox. Added the link there and it worked just fine after that
Not sure others will have the same problem as mine as been messed arround a bit over the years

nice to hear it works on Clara too.
it would be nice if people could try it on other Kobo devices. maybe we could compile a general tutorial for this tweak.
(i was wondering why Kobo would "hide" this function from general public for most devices even though they are capable of Dropbox synchronization).

I had Nickle Menu after installing Koreader. But I can't find the config file in OBOeReader/.adds/nm/. If I add the config file manually, I get a "panic" error and my kobo libra2 resets itself and asks to login like the first time.
Can you share your config file?

Could anyone please share the ".kobo/Kobo/Kobo eReader" of Kobo Sage device (after linked it with Dropbox). Maybe the setting to display Dropbox inside "My Account" menu in there. Thank you very much!

I want to thank you as well.
After some tinkering I managed to make it work on my Libra H2O.

Just adding the nickel menu was not enough unfortunately. The Dropbox button would just lead to an empty page...

It seems (on older devices) the link to the registration page is missing from the config file of the ereader. I had to add that URL manually, like clisboa mentioned earlier.

If you have similar issues, check your readers config file under ".kobo/Kobo/Kobo eReader.conf", specifically the option "dropbox_link_account_poll=". If this option is empty, you need to add this URL behind it:

https://authorize.kobo.com/{region}/{language}/LinkDropbox

For some reason, the reader again returns this line to an empty one. I edit Kobo eReader.conf, add the line dropbox_link_account_poll=https://authorize.kobo…{language}/LinkDropbox, save, go to NickelMenu, when I click on dropbox I get an error unknown view "DROPBOX" (in :library:Dropbox") ( check failed:sym_f), I connect the reader again, I go to Kobo eReader.conf, there the dropbox_link_account_poll line becomes empty (and so on in a circle.
