Kobo 2 goes into sleep mode & stays....
there. To me, that is preferable to going into OFF mode & restarting into I'm Reading screen. I thought that I read people were complaining that the unit times out & turns OFF. Did I misread some posts? Mine will stay in SLEEP mode if I let it go to sleep by itself. Haven't seen it turn off, unless I long press the pwr switch. I haven't seen a description of self sleep behavior in the manual. How is it currently (latest FW 1.7.1) supposed to work? Anyone have a handle on sleep/Pwr Off behavior with non Kobo books & such? Oh, is it only PDF's that can be switched to landscape?
Thanks, kev |

Mine had been going from sleep to off from time to time, but I haven't seen it happen since the last firmware was released, and I'm hoping it will stay that way, which is the way it's supposed to work.
I still have an issue with books, mostly sideloaded, where I'm manually trying to put it to sleep by tapping the switch, and it goes off instead. and yes, it's only PDF's that can be rotated to landscape mode. |
