EBook Publisher Calls BS On Apple’s EBook Plans
I don't think he has any more information than we do.

I don't understand the title of this article. Who is BS and why did this person call him or her?

call bs (from the Urban Dictionary) It's basically a statement of disbelief. The subject of this interview is a software developer of ebooks as apps. He doesn't believe that aPple has ebook plans. Come to think of it, the guy has posted here on MR once or twice. |

Actually, the article itself is BS....
In many words, the guy said absolutely nothing, other than note that "the size may be too large for a single column reading." I suppose he hasn't been able to afford a hard cover in a while. |

Here is a report from Computerworld http://www.computerworld.com/s/artic..._pm_2009-10-02
"Analysts split today in their take on recent reports that Apple's long-rumored tablet will stress the device's e-book capabilities, saying that the company's plan for the "iPod Touch on steroids" would depend on the price tag." Dale |

Apparently, Apple has already rejected a number of different tablet designs. Though I will say, the "Fugly-Pad" looks somewhat familiar:

And whatever is is, you can bet that it'll have OSX at the core. And that means, yup! Locked down tight!

Throwing away code that is stable and a ui that people are familiar with just seems like it would be such a waste of effort though, now obviously you would hope that they make changes so it better suits the different screensize, but wanting them to throw all their existing stuff out just seems a bit silly.
