Fire OS is based on Android, so you can install another browser such as Chrome or Firefox from an APK.
If you do not trust APK websites, you can try the insider versions of edge since they let you download APKs directly. There is a download link on Mozilla's web site for Firefox:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...tablet-browser And you need to 'allow Apps from Unknown Sources' in Settings/Security & Privacy so Silk will download. And then you can set Firefox as the default browser. I would recommend if only so you can have some plugins (e.g. Dark mode etc.) Last edited by tomsem; 07-08-2023 at 01:54 AM. |
