Kobo Aura Frozen Screen

Hello, my aura's screen is frozen. It didn't drop or got damaged. I tried to factory reset and it probably resets because power led blinks fast and my pc recognizes it afterwards. However, the screen is compeletly frozen and unresponsive. Still, light button does work and lights up the screen. Here is a pic. Is the screen broken?

Sorry to say, but to me it looks like a broken screen, I see a crack at the left edge just above the keyboard.

It's a terribly blurred screenshot, nearly unusable for diagnoses. But as GeoffR points out, there is an arc-like crack visible starting at the left side just above the keyboard and extending at least one quarter of the screen width.

Sorry to say but this looks like the textbook broken glass substrate, with repair being more or less impossible. The light is separate from the display so unless you really manage to break even the lighting system it will work despite the display glass substrate being broken.

So it's now n:m+1 on Koboy's theory until the next broken H2O or HD...

That definitely is a broken screen. Even as blurry as the photo is, it's obvious hat the screen is broken.
