adaptation for comics ?
Hallo,
I am raising the following issue: I would like to use Calibre to manage my collection of comics (*.cbz), but I have realized that I do not need some fields, while there are others I would like to keep (preferably) on the first screen of the Metadata management (such as Genre (e.g., Comics USA/Comics USA (DC)/Comics USA (Marvel), Italian comics, etc.)(Status: One-shot/ Discontinued/ Ongoing – incomplete/ Ongoing – up to date/ Finished – completed)ecc). Is there a possibility that in the future Calibre will also cater to the needs of us comic enthusiasts/collectors? Thank you, and I apologize if I have caused any inconvenience. |

I edit the metadata columns in the book list where I control which columns are shown, and the order in which they're shown. The View Manager plugin is useful in this regard, it supports multiple views, and it integrates with the Virtual Library feature. BR |

Question : how do you read these comics ?
I tried once to do it directly with Calibre and the result wasn't good. Is there a way to manage the collection with Calibre and tell Calibre to open an external viewer like MComix or Lektor to read a specific comic ? |

Hi everyone !
I jump on that topic because I'm managing my 5000 comics with Calibre as well (converting from .cbr/.cbz to pdf for easier reading on my iPad). My issue is that all are in french, named like "Tintin - T02 - Tintin au Congo" (Serie - T_album number - Title" and when I import them into Calibre, I would like to have the serie, the album number and the title recognized. However I don't know how to configure manually the regex in "adding book settings" to have them recognized as such. I tried with "(?P<title>.*)" but I don't know the rules and the spec. Any support here, please ? |
