Tiny eBook Reader now with .LIT support!
Tiny eBook Reader for PPC can now handle HTML as well as unprotected .LIT. I am not surprised, since the source code of Convert Lit is available.
I suggest all the other eBook Reader developers should have a look at the source as well and think of incorporating .LIT support! |

But why would someone want an additional reader when Microsoft Reader is free and will read unprotected LIT files, with or without activation?
Now if someone makes a .LIT reader on the Palm OS platform, that's another story... |

Gadgetguru,
I'd say that is one reason - making .LIT available to Palm OS platforms. Another reason is because not everyone is too keen on using Microsoft Reader. Why should we use Microsoft Reader, if there are other, less bloated readers (such as Tiny reader above) available |

People already used CLIT to get the Open eBook files and publish their eBooks in Mobipocket format.
I doubt someone can open a dictionary in LIT format and use it, as a dictionary. It requires to much memory, and needs the dictionary to be precompiled. |

True about the dictionary. But how many people are actually interested in .LIT dictionaries? I am more interested in the .LIT eBooks (fiction/nonfiction) market, and if an ebook reader could natively read those .LIT files, it would be a great benefit to many of us (especially to palm-based users). |

Boy is this an old thread.
Fictionwise supports the device keys for Tiny eBook Reader's DRM format (TeBR). Did they ever follow through on selling the DRMed ebooks? |
