Does Calibre 64 bit Windows use 64 bit Python?
Hi Kovid,
It seems that a recent change in Calibre for 64 bit Windows systems has broken the "tools" plugins. Theses same plugins work well on 32 bit Window versions. Have you made any recent changes from 0.7.37 until 0.7.40 to Python in your Windows 64 bit builds? Perhaps moved to 64 bit Python? With 64 bit version of PyCrypto? Many of the "tools" have never been tested on 64 bit systems and might have problems with 64 bit PyCrypto based routines. Any hints as to what has changed? Thanks KevinH |

No calibre uses 32 bit python on 64 bit system as well. The only C level code change in the windows build recently has been the update of ImageMagick.
