Thanks. I'll hold off and see what (if anything) was broken from the update. I never had WiFi issues; scared I may have some after update. This happened with my NOOKcolor. Will keep an eye on the NOOK forum at BN.com.

The battery meter on my Touch has really been bugging me. It doesn't seem accurate or reliable at all. Really hoping they truly fixed the bug in the update, it was definitely necessary.

The only thing I noticed is that before the update when I got to a page that actually refreshed sometimes the STR skipped a page. This only happened in tap to turn not using swipe to turn After the update I have no longer experienced this issue.

I could use the update. Once in a great while (two or three times in a few months) I find the touchscreen stops working and the thing needs a reboot to get it working again...maybe this will help.
Any word on if this breaks the various rooting tools? Not that I have it rooted anyway... |

I ran into this update earlier today when my reader suddenly rebooted when I put it to sleep. Apparently it had downloaded the update while I was reading, and decided to apply it when I put it to sleep right then and there. Worked fine, but was rather surprising.

I haven't had any of the issues mentioned, but applied the update this afternoon. No problems.

I'm a little disappointed there wasn't more in the update.

OK, I'll update now. Don't want it to kick in while I'm doing the "Read in Store" thing at a local B&N.

I updated earlier today. The touchscreen response is definitely much, much better!
I tried to access some email on my gmail account the other day and failed ... just couldn't get back to my inbox. Tried it just now (just for a test) with the update and it works like a charm. The onscreen keyboard also gives me (fat fingers) much fewer mis-types. A worthwhile download! |
