Unhappy HELP! Unable to install Calibre into my window 7!
HI,
I'm new here. Trying to see if anyone can help me.
after installing the exe file, i unable to install it into my computer.
anyone unable to help me on that.
i keep getting this message.

"This installation package could not be opened. Please contact vendor to verify that this is the valid window installer pacakge"

Delete the installer and redownload. You may have gotten a corrupted download.

Hmm, what exe? calibre uses an msi, are you sure you downloaded from http://calibre-ebook.com/download?

calibre portable is an exe, but it should not give an installer type error.

Indeed not, if its corrupt I would expect Windows to issue a "<location>\calibre-portable-blah blah.exe is not a valid Win32 application." message.

Did you download the correct version for your Processor
Some W7 systems are 32 bit only (mostly old hardware), you can not use the X64 version on those.

Right click My Computer: Select Properties
That should show a system summary
System type: <=
