Accessories Extended Warranty

Is it worth getting the 2 year Extended warranty for my new kindle?

I decided against it this time around since you can get a brand new K3 WiFi for $139. My credit card doubles Amazon's warranty so I already have 2 years for equipment failure - I'm just not covered for accidental damage.

If I were going to buy it I'd probably get the one via Square Trade. If you can dig up a discount code those usually run about $25, which is much cheaper than the one offered via Amazon.

My SquareTrade warranty - with a coupon - cost me ten bucks a year for three years' coverage. INCLUDING accidental spills and drops. INCLUDING a battery replacement if needed in that three years - NO deductible. For the battery replacement alone, I thought it was worth it.

I agree with clintbradford. Normally I don't bother with warranties for smaller, less expensive items, but with the coupon, the Square Trade one was so cheap that it felt like a good value.
