A spiritualist mystery.
A gypsy prophecy says that Peter will die in the snow and then come back. He perishes during an expedition to Newfoundland. Then a friend of his is murdered. Peter’s parents have recourse to a spiritualist medium, but his fiancée and sister are determined to solve the murder and expose the charlatan. So they call in the detective Pennington Wise and his assistant, Zizi.
