Going insane DXG/Duokan

Hi

I've been using Duokan on myt DXG for the past 6 months. Just noticed that 2.5.8 has uploaded itself and cannot boot into Duokan at the Duokan splash screen. What is going on? I'm second guessing myself, press q, press alt q, press shift q, don't press, press alt shit q, press and hold, press quickly, press repeatedly, press w...

BTW this makes me so frustrated with Amazon that their only model good enough for PDF viewing is crippled by their software - what a absolute two finger salute to their customers - good on you Amazon guys and gals. One more day and hello Ipad.

'Frustrated to the point of screaming'

Please help if possible.

Thanks

At least that means that they are not blocking it. Will reinstall Duokan and see.

How bad is it that my first thoughts are that Amazon is causing the problem. Never been a customer before and buy what I think is their flagship model only to find they have abandoned it. Contact them for an honest reply about updates to make it usable for PDF's (larger screen - must be for something other than extra weight size - you know what I mean) and it is like dealing with Telstra in Australia. Let me tell you their is no worse comparison you can make.

Cheers

join the club . if it wasn't for Duokan my dxg would be returned already as i read allot of large pdf books and journals.

if it makes you feel better the pdf functionality on the k3 is still not as good as duokan. rendering on big files is painfully slow just like on dxg. amazon needs to employ the dokan development team to write its kindle firmware . good luck with the install

Speaking of Duokan, does it still work on the regular Kindle with the latest software updates? It seems I remember reading that duokan (or any alternate software) is now blocked on the Kindle somehow. I recently purchased a K3 and would like to use Duokan since I have so many EPUB files, but I don't want to install it if it's not going to work.

Thanks in advance for any information.
