Terry Goodkind finally an eBook Author
A lot of people on the forum have been asking for Terry Goodkind's books to be available as eBooks. Wizard's First Rule is now available at BooksOnBoard (in Mobipocket only at the moment) for only $6.88; it's also available at Amazon for $7.18.
This is only the first book in his epic series, but I for one hope the rest do come out and soon. |

Mobipocket.com has it too. Hopefully Fictionwise will carry it starting Monday. Been waiting for this for a while.
Thanks for the info! -Vito |

Ah, Objectivist fantasy e-books... I hope Zindell's Requiem for Homo Sapiens gets digitized so they can have a philo-SF e-book smack-down.
Anyone else notice the weirdness that this e-book appears to be published by Rosetta Books -- although not listed on their Web site? And additional weirdness that Goodkind's p-book publisher is apparently Tor? Hmm... |

Rosetta Books does a lot of the ebook translations. Not all that good sometimes. But there we go.

I decided I was seven-dollars-curious re: the whole "Kindle exclusive" vs. "on BooksOnBoard" thing, so I tried to buy it from BoB. Result:

Actually, it isn't fair to have Kindle only eBooks. It isn't fair to have any eBooks just for a specific device. it is garbage like this that will keep pBooks going.

Don't you think that it would be a good idea to wait and hear from BoB's support what the reason is that the book can't currently be bought before leaping to conclusions about sisister machinations by Amazon? It could well be no more than an error in BoB's database for the book.

And what evidence do you have that Amazon have ANYTHING to do with this?

I think the words "exclusively for the Amazon Kindle" have a lot to say about it. |
