Installing custom dictionaries on koreader
Hello,
Just looking for links for these dictionaries in stardict format to be installed on my koreader:
Shorter Oxford English Dictionary (SOED).
And
Oxford English Dictionary (SOED)

There is a post which contained the download links of above mentioned dictionaries but now deleted:

Yep, tested both of them on my kindle. Windows 10 antivirus didn't seem to mind either.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong or this doesn't work on Onyx (Android) devices?

I see them under Settings > Dictionary settings > Manage dictionaries. But when I press a word and select dictionary nothing happens, no pop-up or nothing.

Do you happen to have 'Use external dictionary' selected? Make sure the setting is unchecked. Top Menu - Magnifying glass - Settings -> Dictionary settings ->.

When I highlight a word and press 'Dictionary,' nothing happens. Is there anything else I need to do to enable it?

In the top menu, under the magnifying glass icon: Settings -> Dictionary Settings -> Manage Dictionaries, the 'Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, 6th Ed.' is shown.

If 'use external dictionary' is NOT selected, it definitely should open the dictionary viewer when you press Dictionary in the pop-up. Even if no dictionaries are installed or selected, the window should still open but with a notice that no dictionaries are available. So I'm a bit baffled as to what your issue might be.

Does it work by chance if you have 'Dictionary on single word selection' enabled? The setting is in the top menu, Settings (gear), Taps and gestures >, Long-press on text >.

Then just long-press on any word in the book and the dictionary should open.
