Send to Sunrise Firefox Extension
Does anyone know where I can find the send to sunrise firefox extension? I have firefox 1.07 and haven't been able to find the extension. And yes I used the search extension on the firefox homepage.
Thank you. |

Unfortunately, it's not well documented in Sunrise. Try to look into the C:\Program Files\Sunrise\web\sts (or similar) folder. View the index.html file in that folder and you should then be able to install the Send To Sunrise extension. Or, you can just install the sunrise.xpi file from that folder.
I'm not sure if the current version of Sunrise still has this functionality but older versions did. Last edited by maceyr; 10-08-2005 at 01:33 AM. |

Sunrise Firex 1.5 BETA Extension
Unsure whether or not it'll work with older /stable versions of Firefox, but give it a shot. |

earthsound, you can try to contact him here on board. Or if someone still has the extension, send me a quick note, and I'll post it here.

Strange, I thought I already posted an answer to this question. (Forum database glitch?)
The Firefox extension bundled with the last few releases is already Firefox 1.5-compatible. At any rate, here it is. Download and drag-and-drop the file on Firefox window. |

Thanks, Laurens!
Can I share this info w/ the Extensions Mirror? (http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/) they will host it for you, but it would be nice to have a "home page" for the extension...even if it's this forum thread. |

That's excellent news! If you could use any help w/ project management (documentation, website design/management, etc.,), just let me know. On sourceforge, I'm earthsound, as well. david |

need to edit the install.rdf
btw, Lauren, the latest sunrise ff extension that you posted (https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...2504#post22504) is 1.5 Beta-compatible, but it will not install in 1.5 Beta 2 (and perhaps in Beta 1) versions of Firefox.
You need to edit the install.rdf file & bump up the: <em:maxVersion>1.4</em:maxVersion> to <em:maxVersion>1.5.0.*</em:maxVersion> (or whatever the maxVersion of Firefox sunrise.xpi is compatible with). For example, 1.5 Beta 2 is Firefox 1.4.1, so you could just change it to 1.4.1 and it would install...but I digress. Once you edit that file, it will install w/o error in ff 1.5B2. There's not going to be a site at SourceForge.

"updated" Firefox Sunrise extension
I updated the install.rdf file in the xpi so that it will install on any Firefox up to version 1.6.
